| The word ‘Samagra’ means total or integral. ‘Vikas’ means development.
‘Samagra Vikas’ means total or integral development. It is the
development of man in his totality ie., spiritual, economic,
intellectual, physical, mental, cultural and social. It is the total
development of the human person. |
Development is a process. It is a
continuous process of becoming. A ‘becoming’ that can be achieved only
through continuous, planned and dedicated efforts. Samagra Vikas Social
Service Society aims at this kind of development of man and his
environment.

Mission Statement |

| Samagra Vikas is a purely voluntary
organization without any profit motive and it’s priorities are determined by the community
it serves. Samagra Vikas is solely concerned to extend beneficial services to the poor
and needy living in the remotest rural areas. It’s principal objective is to co-ordinate
and deliver a broad range of client-centered services to enable the poor to live as healthy,
active and productive citizens. Samagra Vikas provides assistances and services to more
than 25000 families comprising of about 100000 people. |
| Samagra Vikas aims at the socio-economic development
of poor families and their communities in rural areas, by providing financial and
organizational assistances for their betterment through awareness generation, group
action and self help programmes. In order to achieve this, the society follows a strategy
of integrated rural development with people’s participation and without any consideration
of caste, creed or religion.

| People's Participation |

In the process of undertaking projects and schemes, we have ensured effective participation
and involvement of the beneficiary communities at all stages of planning, execution, monitoring
and evaulation. Similarly the selection of beneficiary for each programme has been
done by the Village
|
Executive Committee consisting of the
elected representatives of the target families and that too without any discrimination of
caste,creed or religion. Special attention has been made to ensure that the benefits of
our programmes do reach the poorest of the poor or those deserving them most. |
